Clipper Ship Lane is a residential real estate company focused on making available quality and affordable single-family properties in some of Connecticut’s most treasured communities. Founded in 2021, Clipper Ship Lane is now responsible for properties in numerous leading towns throughout central Connecticut, and has helped make home possible for many dozens of people in our state.
Our leadership has deep roots in Connecticut and has worked to contribute to our state in countless ways through the decades.
Bradford Galiette
Founder and Managing Member
Brad serves as Founder and Managing Member of Clipper Ship Lane, and has been involved with the acquisition and on-boarding of every property that Clipper Ship Lane now represents. A lifelong Connecticut resident, Brad attended public schools in Avon and in Essex from elementary school thru high school. After graduating from Valley Regional High School, Brad completed college and graduate school at Yale before transitioning to consulting at McKinsey & Company in the firm’s Stamford, CT office. At McKinsey, Brad served companies in the Tech/Media/Telecom (TMT) and Advanced Industries verticals around growth strategy and due diligence projects. Brad later transitioned to Google in New York City, working in product management, strategy and operations, and partnerships for Google’s ads, cloud, and AI products. At both McKinsey and Google, Brad served as an on-campus recruiter and interviewer, helping each find talented university hires to bring on-board. Earlier in his profession, Brad also worked at Microsoft Corporation across roles in product management and finance management. In addition to his current work for Clipper Ship Lane, Brad is founder of a New Venture in the tech space, located in the CT River Valley.
While Brad’s work has entailed substantial time on-the-ground in New York City, the SF Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Seattle, home for Brad has always been Connecticut, and he has always looked for ways to give back. Through the years, Brad has served as a student representative for the Regional School District #4 Board of Education, a lead organizer for the CT River Museum’s holiday boat parades including the 4th of July Boat Parade and Trees in the Rigging, and a leadership donor for more than 15 non-profits in and near Essex. In addition, he has been responsible for bringing the Yale Book Award to Valley Regional High School, earning recognition and visibility for more than a dozen deserving students, and he has been a 15+ year interviewer for his alma mater, including serving as interviewer for four students from Valley Regional High School who were later admitted to Yale.
Beyond the CT shoreline, Brad continues to give back to Connecticut and beyond in other ways. In the Yale Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, Brad served as a teaching fellow to more than 200 students, and mentored many more students as a Graduate Affiliate for his residential college, Jonathan Edwards. Additionally, he serves as Secretary for the Yale College Class of 2008, Class Agent for the Yale School of Management Class of 2011, Board Member for each of the Yale Club of Hartford and Yale Club of New Haven, and he is a former member of the Yale Alumni Association Board of Governors, including service as a member of the Yale Alumni Fellow Nominating Committee.
Brad holds a BS in Economics and Computer Science, an MS in Computer Science, and an MBA in Strategy and Finance, all from Yale University. He became a CFA Charterholder in 2014.
Robert Galiette
Vice President of Development
Robert Galiette is a seasoned executive and legal expert, bringing over 40 years’ experience in law and consulting to his role as Vice President of Development at Clipper Ship Lane LLC. Rob’s extensive background in corporate law also includes considerable work with Connecticut tourism and economic development, notably through his role as a 30+ year Board Member of the Valley Railroad Company / Essex Steam Train, including service as CEO of the company. Within and beyond his work with the Valley Railroad Company, Rob has worked closely with public and private stakeholders to support Connecticut’s broader economic development initiatives.
In the legal field, Rob has served as counsel for leading companies including Berkshire Hathaway Inc., CIGNA, and Phoenix Insurance Companies, advising on regulatory matters, mergers, acquisitions, and more. His extensive experience navigating complex legal landscapes has equipped him with a strategic mindset that is invaluable for Clipper Ship Lane LLC’s development projects. He holds a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, a master’s degree from Brown University, and a B.S. from Stonehill College.
